We had worked so hard to get this place open and could not have done it without the support of all of our amazing customers, the following from our pop up days, and our staff.
Today we have made the difficult decision to close our doors effective tomorrow (Sunday, March 22nd). TODAY IS OUR LAST DAY for the foreseeable future. It was a really hard decision to make. Being in the service industry, we pride ourselves on serving the community and giving them what they want and need. However, we cannot allow our staff to risk exposure to COVID-19. We cannot allow ourselves to risk getting our families sick. We know that we will reopen again, but we cannot do that without a completely healthy team. We don’t know when we will reopen.
Operating on margins as thin as ours, this means that our employees don’t know when they will get their next checks. We started a fund earlier this week on Venmo (@KuyaJas) to collect donations that will be evenly distributed to our hourly employees that have been affected due to their cut hours. We are now starting a goFundMe to help support ALL of our employees. Please click here to donate. All of the money collected will go to staff and will not be used for the restaurant or the owners benefit. We understand that it is a hard time for everyone but if you have anything to spare, no amount is too small. It breaks our hearts that our staff have to figure out how to pay for their rent, utilities, groceries, etc. and many of them have children to support as well. We also have gift cards available here and merchandise available here if you would like to support the restaurant in a different way.
Please, if you haven’t already, reach out to your local congressmen and state government. Restaurants are in dire need of help. Please click here to tell congress. #toosmalltofail
We appreciate all of the love we have received thus far. Thank you for making our dreams reality and supporting our small mom and pop. Come by for take out, order delivery, wave at us outside! We are open 11am-8pm and then... it’s not goodbye, it’s see you later.
